Item# 23814C
Size:
H: 3 " x W: 2.5", Cap: 7oz.
The Cashs Rounded Tumblers allows the whiskey connoisseur to enjoy a good swirl to appreciate the body and color of the liquor, and is ample enough to accommodate a spot of water or ice. The soft curvature of this tumbler makes it extremely comfortable in the hand, and allows for a pleasant swirling experience with any blended scotch, Irish whiskey or bourbon.
The word "whiskey" is an Anglicisation of the first word in the Irish Gaelic phrase, uisce beatha, meaning "water of life". The first whiskey was distilled by Irish monks in 12th century and Irish whiskey was once the most popular spirit. From Ireland, the whiskey spread to Scotland where it gained it's worldwide fame. Unlike it's Scottish cousin, Irish whiskey has the barley roasted over the coal, which is plentiful in Ireland, and also burns cleaner and smoke free compared to wood or peat found in Scotland. Irish whiskey has a smoother and more elegant finish as opposed to the smoky, earthy overtones common to some Scotches.
Best used for: Blackwater, Bushmills, Connacht, Cooley, Dingle, Echilville, Kilbeggan, Middleton, Pearse, Rademon, Slane, Shed, Teeling, Tullamore, Walsh, and Waterford Irish Whiskey.
Annestown is a small seaside village situated on one of the most beautiful stretches of Irelands Copper coast. Sharp fissured basalt, sparkling sea, and salt spiced air are the inspiration for this fresh pattern. The design is created by a series of diagonal and horizontal cuts that form the base of the pattern. Rosette sprays interlaced with finer cuts that merge with clear crystal reminiscent of the sea, churned to surf that ascends back to the heavens creating a sparkling unity that can only be matched by sunshine reflecting off the ocean surface.
Designed by Martin Croke in Waterford, Ireland. Handmade.
