Celebrating 50 years of the snowball votive!
Capturing the playful side of a fresh winter snow, Kosta Boda's Snowball votive offers a whimsical yet luminescent shape. The snowball votive is crafted of thick, clear crystal with layers, creases, and bumps that give it a realistic, just-patted-into-shape look. Set a candle inside through the opening on top, and the light moves through the glass in all directions and angles. The effect is magical on an evening dining table, mantelpiece, or bar. As unique and fresh as a winter landscape, the snowball votive makes a luxurious, imaginative gift.

Created by Ann Warff in 1973, it has become a classic Kosta Boda design. A perfect symbol for the winter season! Tastefully gift boxed in original Kosta Boda gift box.
Tealight candle not included.

With characteristic craftsmanship and good design, and an ongoing commitment to avant-garde expression, Kosta Boda has become one of the leading glasshouses in the world. The company's three glassworks in the villages of Kosta, Boda and Åfors each have exciting individual stories of their own, yet stand together under the common brand name Kosta Boda.

Eight designers are currently on retainer at Kosta Boda. They work with both utilitarian and art glass. The designers are Olle Brozén, Anna Ehrner, Kjell Engman, Ulrica Hydman-Vallien, Bertil Vallien, Ludvig Lofgren, Asa Jungnelius and Göran Wärff. Glass results from a great many meetings between people, artists, crafts people and lovers of glass.

The artists of Kosta Boda have a decisive role to play in all the creative stages of the process. The cooperation between the designers and the skilled craftspeople is very close; indeed, it is essential if the designers are to transfer their intentions to the glass.
