As a direct descendant of Royal Doulton founder John Doulton and over 30 years of experience as the ambassador to the company that bears his family name, Michael Doulton is a singular paradigm of Royal Doulton heritage, institutional knowledge and expertise.

Educated in England and France, Michael spent most of his young adult life in Australia. In 1976, Michael returned at the request of his father, Sherwood Doulton, to take a more active role in the family business, serving as a traveling ambassador for the company. Michael's annual international tours traditionally include stops in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada and Australia.
